Certification
"Have you still got the certificate from two winters ago?"
Every sweep knows that call. There's been a chimney fire, or an insurance claim, or a house sale — and someone urgently needs proof of a sweep you did two years ago. If it's on a paper pad in the van, or an attachment in a sent-items folder somewhere, that's your evening gone.
With We Sweep, every job files its own certificates — generated after the work is done, one per flue, stored against the job, and sitting in the customer's own portal with the photos to back them up.
After the job
- The work is documented — before and after photos are taken as part of completing the job and stored against it.
- The certificates are generated — a proper PDF for every flue swept, produced from the job's details once the work is done. A three-chimney property gets three certificates, each for its own flue. No rewriting the same address three times, no carbon paper.
- Everything is filed where it can be found — certificate and photos live against the customer's record and in their portal. Two years later, it's exactly where it was left.
The customer portal
Every customer gets their own portal. They log in with a link sent to their email — no account to create, no password to forget — and find their bookings, their certificates, their photos and their details, all in one place.
- "Can you resend my certificate?" stops being a phone call — it's in their portal, and it always will be.
- Reschedules and cancellations happen there too, with the day re-planning itself around the change — see the online booking page for how.
- Proof cuts both ways — dated photos of the flue before and after protect you in a dispute as much as they reassure the homeowner.

Frequently asked questions
How does the customer get their certificate?
It's filed in their own portal, against the job it belongs to, alongside the before and after photos. They log in with a link sent to their email — no password to forget — and it's there whenever they need it, this winter or in three years when the insurer asks.
What's in the customer portal?
Their bookings — past and upcoming — their certificates, the photos from each job, and their own details. They can also reschedule or cancel from there, so 'can I move my appointment' stops being a phone call too.
Do before and after photos come with the job?
Yes. Photos are taken as part of documenting the job and stored against it. That's proof of the state of the flue and the work done — which protects you as much as it reassures the customer.
What about a property with more than one chimney?
Each flue gets its own certificate. A booking for three chimneys produces three certificates — each labelled for its flue, each with the job's photos behind it — all filed against the one job in the customer's portal. The insurer asking about the living-room flue gets the certificate for that flue, not a vague one-pager covering the whole house.
Is there a per-certificate charge?
No. Certificates and photos are included — unlimited — in the standard 2% per booking. A three-flue job produces three certificates and still pays one 2% fee. There's no monthly fee and nothing per document.
