The “Hidden” Savings of We Sweep

While the numbers above show the direct cost, the real savings come from the time you get back.

Your day, packed properly

Traditional software just records your appointments. We Sweep reconfigures them. Every booking is placed using real drive times, and your day re-plans itself as jobs come in — less time driving between jobs, more time on the tools.

And the fee only ever follows the work. A £75 job costs £1.50 in platform fees, however the customer pays it — plus only standard card processing (£1.33) if they pay by card, exactly as you’d pay with any card machine. Cash at the door? Just the £1.50. Quiet month? Nothing to pay at all.

Why 2% instead of a flat fee?+

Because we are invested in your efficiency. Our auto-scheduling logic is designed to pack your day with as many jobs as possible. When you thrive, we thrive.

What if I take a booking manually?+

Bookings you add yourself — phone jobs, repeat customers — pay the same 2% as online bookings, because they get the same routing, reminders, certificate and customer portal. There’s no cheaper back door, and no reason to want one: keeping every job on the platform is what makes the route optimisation work.

How is the 2% collected?+

For card payments, it’s collected automatically when the payment is made — nothing to do. For cash and bank-transfer jobs, the fees are added up and invoiced once a month against a card or Direct Debit you save with us. Every booking is itemised on the invoice, and a fee is only ever charged after you’ve actually been paid for the job. Card payments also carry standard card processing of 1.5% + 20p per transaction, collected at the same time — cash and bank-transfer jobs have no processing charge.

Does accounting sync cost extra?+

No. Connect Xero, QuickBooks or Sage and every paid job posts itself into your books as an itemised, VAT-correct sales invoice — with the payment matched to the right account and full refunds raised as credit notes. It’s part of the standard 2%, not an add-on or a higher tier.

I’m VAT registered — is the 2% charged on the VAT too?+

No. For VAT-registered businesses the 2% is calculated on the net, ex-VAT amount. On a £120 job including VAT, the fee is 2% of £100 — £2.00, not £2.40. You’re not paying a platform fee on money you’re collecting for HMRC.

Are there any other costs?+

Card payments carry standard card processing of 1.5% + 20p per transaction — the same rate as Stripe’s standard UK card pricing, and less than most card machines. It’s collected automatically alongside the 2% when your customer pays by card, so there’s never a separate bill. Cash and bank-transfer jobs have no processing fees at all. In the rare case a customer’s bank raises a chargeback, Stripe’s £20 dispute fee is passed on at cost (and returned if you win the dispute). We Sweep has no hidden maintenance or onboarding fees.
